North Shore Choral Society Holiday Celebration

Dr. Julia Davids leads the Choral Society in a performance of settings of the Magnificat text, including a new arrangement of Magnificat by American composer Mark Gresham. Robert Shaw's Many Moods of Christmas and other familiar holiday favorites will round out this seasonal celebration.

The 140 member chorus will be joined by the Prairie Brass Band of Arlington Heights, conducted by Dallas Niermeyer. The Joyful Ringers Handbell Choir of Glenview Community Church will also join in the festivities. Single tickets at the door are Regular $25, Senior (65 and older) $22, Student $15. 2011 PBOY Awarded to Mary Gingrich

2011 PBOY Award for Prairie Brass Band

The Prairie Brass Band of Arlington Heights, IL has announced that this year's recipient of the Brass Person of the Year award (PBOY) is the band's principal tenor horn player, Mary Gingrich.

The PBOY award is a service award given to that member of the band who has best displayed the exemplary characteristics of attitude, dedication, attendance and musicianship.

The delighted recipient has informed the band that the award plaque is now hanging right next to her husband's Grammy Award.

Congratulations to Mary Gingrich from the entire Prairie Brass Band family.

Open Rehearsals

We welcome any interested brass or percussion players to join us for open rehearsals.

The Prairie Brass Band typically rehearses weekly in the Arlington Heights area.
